Acrobatics for Dance | Gymnastics
Course Description
This dynamic class combines classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements, creating a unique and challenging blend that enhances overall performance and fitness. Students will work on foundational acrobatic skills while integrating them seamlessly into dance movements.
Key components of the class include body placement, balancing, limbering, tumbling, and partnering. Flexibility, strength, and coordination are emphasized, with progressive difficulty introduced as students advance. This class is ideal for dancers looking to expand their skill set, improve physical control, and add dynamic elements to their routines.
What Students Will Learn:
In Acrobatics for Dance/Gymnastics, students will focus on:
- Basic Acrobatics: Foundational stunts such as forward rolls, cartwheels, and beginner balances.
- Lines and Extensions: Developing graceful acrobatic movements that enhance dance technique.
- Feats of Balance: Strengthening motor coordination and achieving advanced balancing skills.
- Strength and Flexibility: Building the physical foundation necessary for acrobatic and dance excellence.
- Tumbling Techniques: Introducing safe and effective methods for rolls, handstands, and other acrobatic movements.

- Wednesdays: 4:30 PM – 5:20 PM
- Saturdays: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
